Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Skills Group
DBT Skills training is a manualized, evidence-based treatment approach to help individuals change behaviours, emotions, thoughts, and interpersonal patterns associated with problems in living. These skills can help with anger, episodes of depression or anxiety, intense or chaotic relationships, impulsivity, stress, and feelings of emptiness. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Group
ACT is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals manage difficult thoughts and feelings by accepting them, rather than trying to eliminate them, and by committing to actions that align with their values. The goal of ACT is psychological flexibility. This group can help with the transition out of the military into civilian life, learning about the self, defining values, and committed action towards those values. Ideal for those struggling with adjustment, the 'next chapter', retirement, or life transition. Length: 10 weeks + 2 monthly follow-up sessions · Tuesdays 12:00pm–2:00pm.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Group
IFS is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. IFS helps clients understand 'parts' of their personality, including protective and wounded inner parts, and helps individuals understand, heal, and integrate their parts towards their authentic self. This group is ideal for individuals currently receiving Ketamine treatment with their psychiatrist, as IFS has been found effective in unlocking blocked parts and assisting with integration into daily life. Please note this is not considered Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. Length: 10 weeks · Thursdays 9:30am–11:30am.
