Gottman Method
Built on decades of research, the Gottman Method gives couples practical strategies to improve communication, manage conflict and deepen friendship and intimacy — tools you can keep using long after sessions end.
Support for Stronger Connections
Rebuild trust, improve communication, and strengthen connection
Relationships can be deeply meaningful and genuinely hard. Our couples counselling helps partners reconnect, work through conflict and build healthier patterns — whether you're in crisis, stuck in long-running cycles or simply investing in your bond.
Book a Couples AppointmentEvery relationship encounters strain. Couples counselling offers a non-judgmental space to talk openly, gain perspective and strengthen your bond.
We believe healthy relationships rest on communication, trust and understanding. Our registered therapists draw on evidence-based methods like the Gottman Method and Emotion-Focused Therapy to help partners move through difficulty and reconnect with what brought them together.
Couples therapy is a guided process — not just a place to talk. Through structured sessions we help partners improve communication, rebuild trust, deepen intimacy, navigate transitions (parenting, moving, career, loss) and develop patterns that support long-term resilience.

Because no two relationships are the same, our therapists may also draw on CBT, Internal Family Systems and trauma-informed care to address personal challenges that show up inside the partnership.
We welcome all couples — married or unmarried, LGBTQ+ partners, blended families and diverse relationship structures.
We also offer specialised relationship therapy for Veterans and first responders, addressing the particular pressures that service and frontline work place on relationships.
Couples counselling is available at our Halifax, Dartmouth and Wolfville (Wolfville) offices and through secure online sessions across Nova Scotia. Daytime, evening, weekend and virtual options make it easier to fit care into your life — and partners in different locations can join the same session.
Starting therapy as a couple is a big step. Here's how we make it manageable.
Your therapist listens to both partners and creates a balanced, safe space from session one.
Sessions adapt to your goals, pace and the specific situation you're in.
Your relationship is treated with care so you both feel safe to share openly.
Evidence-based methods give you things you can put into practice right away, between sessions.
